Paraguay vs New Zealand – (Group F, Thursday 3.00pm)

Paraguay have been quite impressive so far with the excellent mix of solidity & flair while New Zealand have surprised the entire world by achieving 2 fantastic 1-1 draws so this is another fascinating contest to preview.

Paraguay are the current leaders in Group F & will want to secure that by going for the win here & there is every reason to believe they will do just that given the quality they have shown.

Paraguay comfortably held Italy & could well have beaten them in the first match & then comfortably beat Slovakia and they will believe that New Zealand will be the easiest test of their 3 group matches so we do expect them to go for the win.

New Zealand have displayed great courage, belief & team spirit so far to earn two draws so they deserve great credit for that but in all honesty, their play has largely been about being defensive & they have shown very little attacking quality so it’s hard to fancy them for this one.

We are expecting Paraguay to go for it & for New Zealand to keep trying to be solid, organised & hard to beat so it will be competitive but we cannot oppose Paraguay here & they can win this to secure they win the group.
