Burnley vs Tottenham – (Sunday 4.00pm)

Tottenham have deservedly qualified for the Champions League & we see that as being more bad news for Burnley in their final home game of the season as this looks the perfect opportunity for Tottenham to celebrate their achievements on the pitch in style.
Yes Burnley will want to give their loyal home fans one last hurrah in the Premier League but Tottenham come here as a side full of quality with the pressure off & certainly they will believe they can take Burnley apart just like they did at White Hart Lane earlier in the season.

Of course there is a chance that the Tottenham players might go into this game having celebrated hard having deservedly reached the Champions League but we expect whichever Tottenham side turns up at Burnley to be way too good for Burnley & a Tottenham away win looks the only sensible & viable outcome with goals likely.

Birmingham City vs Burnley – (Saturday 12.45pm)

With everything now done & dusted for both sides for this season with Birmingham City finishing a very solid season & Burnley already relegated, the only motivation for this match is professional pride which should at least produce a competitive contest.
Birmingham City have been absolutely rock solid at home this season & that impressive organisation & solidity is the reason why they have a great chance to finish 9th which is an incredible achievement for Alex McCleish & everybody connected to Birmingham City.

Pre-season favourites to go down, Birmingham City have responded to their critics in the best way possible by being committed, organised & by producing solid, consistent results and particularly at home where even the very best teams have struggled to get anything.

This match represents Birmingham City’s last opportunity to show their strength at home & indeed they come into this game desperately wanting to bounce back from the controversial defeat against local rivals Aston Villa last weekend & so we do expect the Birmingham City players to be pumped up for this one.

The one problem that has blighted Birmingham City all season & something that has to be addressed for next season is goalscoring & that does slightly temper confidence in them but the fact they are so defensively solid gives them the chance to edge a goal & hold on.

It is hard to know how Burnley will respond in this match after being thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool last weekend & being relegated in the process and how they respond will determine this match.

Brian Laws will want the Burnley players to give absolutely everything for the rest of the season & indeed will want to win but having only had 1 away win all season & conceded 50 away goals already makes it really tough to actually envisage Burnley doing anything in this match.

There is absolutely nothing riding on this match & that does make it dangerous to get involved in too seriously because anything is possible but Birmingham City have built their season on their impressive, solid home form & they look worth a bet to finish off a great season with another home win.

Betting Recommendations:

Outright Match result: Birmingham City to win

Correct Score options: Birmingham City to win 1-0/2-0

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Jerome/McFadden/Larsson

Sunderland vs Burnley – (Saturday 3.00pm)

Sunderland are safe now so they can relax & look to entertain their home fans while Burnley desperately need to win & are always positive so this should be a cracking game.
Sunderland have been absolutely rock solid at home with only 2 defeats from 17 & that statistic alone makes them hard to oppose in this one & Steve Bruce will certainly want Sunderland to finish strong.

Sunderland’s Premier League status is guaranteed for another year so Steve Bruce will be delighted by that but at the same time he is greatly disappointed by the way Sunderland’s season tailed off & he is demanding a winning finish to the season to go into next season with real positive momentum.

The home fans at Sunderland will expect their team to win this match & the Sunderland players will know they have to perform so we are expecting them to be really up for this one & look to maintain their excellent home form with a big performance.

Burnley produced the shock of the weekend last week to win 4-1 away at Hull City & that win kept their slim hopes of survival alive & they now have the confidence to give themselves a chance.

Clearly though, going to Hull City & winning is a totally different task than going to Sunderland and winning with Brian Laws knowing that Burnley face a really tough challenge to get anything at Sunderland but they will at least have a real go & see what happens.

This should be a fascinating game & one that should provide goals as both Sunderland & Burnley go for the win so anything is possible but we can’t justify opposing Sunderland given their excellent home record & Sunderland do look a decent bet to get another home win here with Darren Bent to lead the way again.

Betting Recommendations:

Outright Match Result: Sunderland to win

Correct Score options: Sunderland to win 2-1/3-1

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Bent/Malbranque/Jones

Scorecast options: Bent/Malbranque/Jones score 1st & Sunderland win 2-1/3-1

Double Result: Sunderland H/T & F/T

Hull City vs Burnley – (Saturday 3.00pm)

A truly massive game that means everything to both Hull City & Burnley as their Premier League status hangs by a thread & this match really does represent last chance saloon for them both.
Now this match won’t be the ultimate, decisive fixture that determines whether Hull City & Burnley actually survive or get relegated but this fixture definitely represents the best chance both clubs have left of achieving 3 points so the metaphorical gloves will be off for this one.

When Ian Dowie took over as manager of Hull City, his obvious target was to achieve as many points as possible from all of the fixtures but he knew that home form would be the ultimate key to whether Hull City survived & we really do expect Ian Dowie to have Hull City completely fired up & motivated to win this.

To be fair to Hull City, their home form has been fairly solid & they have certainly made life difficult for just about every side who has turned up at the KC stadium this season & we expect them to have a real go at testing Burnley & exposing their defensive weaknesses here.

Hull City were very good in beating Fulham in their last home fixture & that should give them huge confidence to be positive, get amongst Burnley & really look to cause Burnley massive problems & they will certainly believe they can win this match.

Brian Laws must have wanted to earth to open up & swallow him last weekend as he witnessed his Burnley side completely & totally capitulate in disastrous fashion against Manchester City and the final scoreline of 6-1 to Man City really should have been 10-1 or even bigger Burnley were that bad.

There were absolutely no positives for Burnley to take from that pathetic, dis-organised & completely shambolic performance and it really is tough to see how Burnley can bounce back from that in such a huge pressure match as this one.

Burnley know that this is their last realistic chance to achieve any league points at all & they have to win this match but how will that be possible for a Burnley side who have only achieved 1 away point all season & conceded an average of 3 goals per away match.

The high pressure, desperate nature of this match does mean that anything is possible & mistakes are certainly likely to be a factor making it harder to predict but this represents Hull City’s big chance to themselves a survival life-line & We think they are worth a bet to get another massive home win.

Betting Recommendations:

Outright Match Betting Results: Hull City to win

Correct Score options: Hull City to win 2-1/3-1

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Bullard/Altidore/Fagan

Scorecast options: Bullard/Altidore/Fagan score 1st & Hull City win 2-1/3-1
