NARRATIVE:

City have won two of the last three games whilst both of West Ham

West Ham United vs Manchester City – (Sunday 4.00pm)

Only pride left to play for in this one as both West Ham United & Man City are desperate to see the back of this season but with the pressure off this could be a game to really enjoy & the goals could fly.
Both West Ham United & Manchester City will want to finish the season well and give the fans a good send off with positive, attacking football likely in this one & ironically both have Italian managers who are highly unlikely to keep their jobs for next season so this really could be a free for all.

Defensive organisation & solidity are not words to be associated with either West Ham United or Manchester City and goals look likely so anything is possible here but given their amazing. superior attacking quality then Man City look the bet to get the goals & get the away win with ex-Hammers Craig Bellamy & Carlos Tevez likely to be the centre of attention from both sets of fans.

Outright Match Result: Man City to win

Correct Score options: Man City to win 3-1/3-2

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Bellamy/Tevez/Adebayor

NARRATIVE:

Five of the six games have produced repetitive score-lines and even the lone 0-0 draw in December 2006 was backed up by the same score-line in an F.A. Cup encounter between the two teams at Craven Cottage during the Premiership years. Fulham have yet to lead at half time which has hardly helped their cause, though it

Fulham vs West Ham United – (Sunday 3.00pm)

Fulham are Europa League Finalists – incredibly that is definitely a true statement & all the praise must go to everybody connected with Fulham Football Club & most notably Roy Hodgson, the master who has pulled all the strings so well.
Last season Roy Hodgson & his Fulham side had a wonderful season & finished 7th in the Premier League which was a remarkable achievement but one that many believed they would struggle to get even close to this season.

However, Roy Hodgson & the Fulham squad have used that achievement to push themselves even further this season & produce even great performances and all that has been rewarded with a well earned place in the Europa League Final.

Of course, the big question now is how will being in the Europa League final affect Fulham’s performances in their last 3 Premier League matches & clearly Roy Hodgson will now want to look after his key players to make sure they are ready for the biggest game in Fulham’s history.

The Europa League final is on the 12th of May & yet Fulham still have 3 Premier League fixtures to fulfil before that which surely means Roy Hodgson make massive changes to the starting & indeed the reserves.

There has to be a strong chance that Roy Hodgson will change the whole side & indeed the key players such as Schwarzer, Hangelaand, Murphy, Zamora, Konchesky, Gera, Davies & Duff will probably be rested for the rest of the league season now & that will definitely make Fulham weaker.

The other key factor is the focus of the Fulham players will be on the Europa League Final & although this match against West Ham United is a London derby, the Fulham players are unlikely to be totally pumped up for this & that could make them vulnerable in this game & in their remaining league fixtures.

West Ham United arrive in this London derby after a hard fought & well deserved home win against Wigan that secured their status in the Premier League & that really could give them a massive lift going into this game.

Local pride is all that is at stake for West Ham United & we are expecting them to look to finish the season on a high & the West Ham players will want to give Gianfranco Zola a good send off as his time at West Ham United certainly looks over now.

This should be a good, competitive London derby that can go either way but with Fulham’s focus understandably on the Europa League Final, West Ham United look worth a punt to edge this & give their long suffering fans a long awaited away win.

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Cole/Parker/Noble

NARRATIVE:

West Ham have scored just four goals via fourteen games, thus it comes as no surprise to learn that the Hammers have not led at half time to date. West Ham have scored more than one goal on one occasion compared to Liverpool

Liverpool vs West Ham United – (Monday 8.00pm)

This is a massively important match & 3 points for both Liverpool & West Ham United so both will be up for it & it should be competitive although the history books suggest a huge bias for the home side.
Liverpool 10 wins & 4 draws compared to West Ham United’s 0 wins is the record between Liverpool & West Ham United in the Premier League at Anfield and clearly West Ham United are going to have to defy form & history to take anything from this match.

Although Liverpool still hold a chance of winning the Europa Cup, their season has been a complete disaster with the Premier League & Champions League ambitions destroyed very early on & basically they have limped through the season with only brief moments of success & quality amongst a season full of disappointment.

Theoretically, Liverpool still hold a chance of achieving the holy grail of 4th place in the Premier League & indeed Rafa Benitez ‘guaranteed’ that Liverpool would finish 4th so the pressure is on to win but equally everybody including the Liverpool players now know that 4th place finish is highly unlikely.

What Liverpool do have to play for is to try to build on their excellent home form in the Premier League with 12 wins & 3 draws from 17 games and they will certainly hope to achieve another win against lowly West Ham in this one.

West Ham United travel to Liverpool on the back on an absolutely vital home win which pushed them 4 points clear of the relegation zone and that has given them breathing space but more points are still required so this game does matter a great deal.

The record of West Ham United clearly does not bode well for West Ham United in terms of winning this match or even getting a positive result but West Ham United have shown great heart & belief in the last couple of games and that should mean they will compete well in this match & fight for a result but whether they have the quality to win is extremely doubtful.

Liverpool showed by failing to beat Fulham at home that they are dangerous to back at long odds-on but then again it seems virtually impossible to oppose them in this one & Liverpool look a very solid bet get the job done on the day & win the match.

Betting Recommendations:

Outright Match Result:

Correct Score options:Liverpool to win 1-0/2-0

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Kuyt/Gerrard/Benayoun

Scorecast options: Kuyt/Gerrard/Benayoun score 1st & Liverpool 1-0/2-0

West Ham United vs Sunderland – (Saturday 3.00pm)

Last weeks heroics against Tottenham mean Sunderland are now safe & this is no longer a relegation 6 pointer, but that doesn’t make life easier for West Ham United & this certainly looks like being a really competitive match which is hard to call.
West Ham United are the team under the biggest pressure to win this match & the team most desperate for the points as they sit perrilously close to the relegation zone & this is without doubt a must win game for them.

To their great credit, West Ham United did respond with real fight & determination last weekend to earn highly creditable 2-2 draw & vital league point away at Everton & that should give the West Ham United players a much needed confidence boost ahead of this match.

With the likes of Liverpool away, Fulham away & Man City & Wigan still to come at home for West Ham, the 3 points on offer here are truly massive & could well be the points that keep them safe so they have to go all out for the win here.

West Ham United always look to play positive football & that will give them a chance and they will feel playing a Sunderland side who have only won once away from home increases their chances but they cannot afford to be complacent & they will have to be on their best form to get the win here.

The key tactical blow for West Ham United is that their best player & biggest influence Scott Parker is suspended & his abscence from midfield does pose big problems for them & it will be interesting to see how they cope with that.

Steve Bruce was clearly a very happy & relieved man last weekend as Sunderland produced a fantastic performance to beat Tottenham 3-1 & secure their place in the Premier League for another season.

While Steve Bruce will be happy they have survived, he will not be at all happy that it has taken this long & certainly not at all happy that it is Sunderland’s incredibly poor away record that is the main reason for that.

Sunderland have only won once away from home all season & have only picked up 7 points from a possible 48 away from which is clearly not good enough.

Steve Bruce has stated that he wants to finish the season as strongly as possible & given the immense confidence boost the Sunderland team will have from beating Tottenham so impressively last weekend, we do expect them to come here confident & believing they can win.

Sunderland undoubtedly have the attacking capabalities in their side to cause problems & Darren Bent is a striker who will cause any defence problems & certainly one as fragile as West Ham’s has been this season.

This should be a cracking game as we expect both West Ham United & Sunderland to have a real go and again anything is possible but on balance a competitive, scoring draw looks a tempting option & a value bet well worth taking here.

First Goalscorer each way/Player to score anytime: Cole/Bent/Malbranque
